For bookkeeping practices

Every client’s books, under your brand, from one login.

Cost InSight runs each client as its own set of books, with your logo and colours on every invoice, statement and report. Your staff switch between clients without signing in again, and you see the state of the whole portfolio on one screen. You pay per client company; what you charge them is your business.

The practice console

Built for a practice, not adapted for one.

The incumbents give partners a discount and keep their logo on your client’s screen. This is the other way round: their books, your system.

One login, every client

Your staff sign in once and switch between client books in two clicks — no second password, no shared logins. Staff, roles and two-factor policy are managed on one Team page.

The whole portfolio on one screen

Unreconciled bank lines and overdue receivables for every client, side by side, so the morning starts with who needs attention rather than with twelve logins.

Add a client yourself

A new client’s books are created from your console in a minute: your brand, a South African chart of accounts, and a setup link for the client if they want their own access.

Your brand on everything

Your logo, colours, typeface and product name on the application and on every invoice, statement and report PDF a client receives. Nothing on it says Cost InSight.

VAT done the SARS way, per client

Invoice or payments basis, supply types, VAT201 export and bad-debt relief — on each client’s books, not bolted on across them.

Reports a client can read

Trial balance, income statement, balance sheet and VAT201 as branded PDFs, each line drilling through to the source document when a client asks where a number came from.

The five-minute reveal

Your logo, your colours, your name on the PDF.

Branding is set once for the practice and copied onto every client you create. The application, the invoices, the statements and the financial reports all carry it. The one shared surface is the sign-in page, which every customer reaches at the same address and which therefore carries ours.

  • Your practice brand on the app and on every PDF
  • VAT on invoice or payments basis, with VAT201 export
  • Bank statement import (CSV and OFX)
  • Quotes, recurring invoices and credit notes
  • Every report, with PDF export of the financial statements
  • Unlimited practice staff, with per-client audit trail
Practice pricing

Per client company. Your own books free.

How a pilot works

From a demo to your first client in a week.

Onboarding is done with you, on a call, by the person who built it. That is deliberate: the first practices shape what gets built next.

  1. A fifteen-minute demo

On a call, against realistic South African books. The last five minutes are your logo and colours on the whole thing.

  2. We set your practice up with you

Your practice, your brand, your staff — then your first client’s opening balances imported together on a call.

  3. 60 days free, with a weekly call

Run real clients on it. A short weekly call is where you tell us what is missing, and small things get fixed the same week.

  4. Convert at the founding rate

R79.00 per client company a month, held for as long as you stay — in exchange for a case study we can publish.

Questions practices ask

Something else? Ask us directly.

What do my clients see?

Your brand. Each client’s books are their own company in the system, so a client who wants to log in gets their own users and roles, under your name, and sees only their own books. Your staff’s access to a client is additive and shows in that client’s audit trail.

Who owns the client’s data?

The client. Every set of books can be exported in full at any time, and removing a client from your practice never touches their data, their users or their brand.

How am I billed?

One monthly invoice to the practice, per client company, ex VAT, payable by EFT or card. Your own practice’s books are free. There is a minimum of R495.00 a month, and you can stop in any month — no notice period, no annual contract.

Can I bill my clients for it?

Yes. Absorb it into your monthly fee or resell it at a price of your choosing. Either way the invoice your client sees is yours, not ours.

Is there a live bank feed?

Not yet. Bank statement import from CSV and OFX is how each client’s bank is brought in today, and it is what most practices batch-work with. Live feeds are built and waiting on a bank-data provider; we will tell you when, not before.

One of my clients already uses Cost InSight. Can they come under my practice?

Yes. With the client’s consent we link their existing books to your practice — nothing is migrated and nothing changes for them. Ask us on the demo call.

What happens to my clients if something happens to you?

Your data is in Azure’s South Africa region with point-in-time backup, every set of books is exportable in full from inside the product, and larger practices can ask about a source-code escrow arrangement.

Bring one client’s books to the call.

Fifteen minutes, on your numbers, ending with your brand on the screen. Or try the product on your own practice’s books first — every feature, no card.
